ho hum, not tired after game night, will go ahead and get this out of the way.

calculus, ugh, uuuuuuuuugh.
had a quiz tuesday. completely blanked out. wrote MAYBE 3 or 4 lines of formulas on it total. in other words, i totally bombed it. and i have test in there this upcoming tuesday......fuck me...
i really should study today/tomorrow prior to the test, but to do so i will have to up my concentration points by damn near 1000.

managed to get out and go food shopping on thursday. jared and i are attempting to cut down on the amount of crap food we eat in the room (chips, cheese crunchies, candy) in exchange for semi-actual food (sandwiches, rice a roni,.....sandwiches). came back to chris's and...did something? i cant recall at the moment. weird

friday was fun.
classes and whatnot until about 2ish, which afterwards i sat in lenoir for awhile with josh, because everyone else had gone to d&d. ended up going over to aldermann with josh and sat around with more than the usual crowd until around 7, when we gathered up and went to 35 to eat some grub. some people were missing, and that was lame...
after fooding, i tried to make plans with ev eryone at dinner to go see coraline, the new henry sellick movie, as a group. about 10ish of the 14 people were up for it. due to transportation and things like that, the group got split up. alright, thats feasible. the movie started at 9:40. the entire group didnt show up at foxfroft until around 9:30.....upon which 5 of the 10 people said 'im tired/sleepy/not up for a movie tonight'....which was sort of bullshit. SO the orginal group of 10+ people was shrunk to 5. was still an incredible movie, that i will probably see more than once, but its just annoying when plans fall through.

mon-thursday were more or less normal. im hating me some math right now, i think im going to be playing catch up most of the semester.
ive skipped comp 110 3 times including today. i think i might go on wednesday, just to see if ive missed anything important. so far i havent, besides missing lectures on how to properly organize my code and make it readable to other people blahblahblah.
friday was cristins/annies party, it wasnt really all that enjoyable. drunk loud people are irritating. semi-drunk people that are still aware of themselves are tolerable. ended up leaving there with people in tow, and played left 4 dead until later that night/morning. i missed playing it over break with people other than myself.
monday morning was room reservation time, so starting at around 3pm-ish on saturday, i was line sitting at the union until 7am-ish on monday. game night was fun. superbowl party was more like a second coming of game night, it was pretty much split 50-50 between people who actually cared about watching it, and people that just wanted to hang out with people. i think steelers won?
ffffffffuuuu i have a calculus quiz tomorrow that i think im going to fail hardcore.

my arms are close to numb after walking from the union, to franklin, and back to carmichael in nothing but t-shirt and jeans.

went to a game night tonight. finally played gloom. it was fun, but it has to be played with the right people. i dont know how much i could play it before people would run out of original stories and things like that.

jeez my hands are red right now.

its lame always coming back to my room, and not hanging with people afterwards.
it is lame, but ill probably have to stick to my room for awhile.
will probably be for the best, unless anything else happens.

its a bit ironic.
near the end of break, i was looking forward to coming back to school.
came back a bit early, and it was pretty fun.
first week, and im suddenly not looking forward to the remainder of the semester in the slightest.
i dont know if that is, in fact, irony or not. i do know that it sucks either way.

back up at campus finally, came up before the dorms open, so me and jared have been staying at josh's for three nights...well...technically me-3 jared-2, but eh.i cannot thank him enough for providing us some sort of escape from our house. will have to remember to pick him up something good.
tonight was a semi-game night, consisting of townies and those who had managed to come back early. it was sort of enjoyable. got to bang and encounter aliens. . then learned a new game that i might add to my list of games to pick up. so far its gloom, dominion, and shadow hunters.

tomorrow is move in day, hoorah. jared and i, along with the rest of the campus, will be moving back in to the dorms come 9am. so far, we've acquired ethans car for help moving in....that will take somewhere between 3-4 trips, depending how tight we pack things....that should be....blah. most everyone (at least those in dorms) will be moving in as well, so people may gather at the end of the day to game or something. i certainly hope so. being back is.....to be determined

but srsly its good to be back

reporting in from a semi-functional computer with over 2.5 tb of space. ill have to allow it to run overnight, to see if it survives. last 3 times or so ive tried, it had died by the time i woke up. today is...uh..the fourth. right
new years-left around 2ish and headed over to chris's to hang out and play android. we ended up waiting an hour AFTER set up time to allow greg (chris's friend) to show up so that he could play. we fianlly started playing around 430 or 5, and chris and greg had a party to attend at 8. you can probably guess how this will end...8 oclock rolls around, we still have two full rounds of android left. we end up stopping before the end, and tallying up the game then and there, which cristin ended up winning. out of the three times playing the game so far, none of them have been enjoyable experiences....we have to stick to better characters however.
after chris's, jared cristin and i headed over to sarah bs for a little new years get together. josh showed up about 45-hour after we got there, and it was nice to sit back and chat with some people i hadnt seen for awhile. stayed there until around 1, when we headed back home. i worked the next morning at 830...that was fun. i also worked the next two days at 830 which was even more awesome. today i got to sleep in until 10, hooray, and work until 6.
im now off of work until who knows when around spring break, if i decide to go back to work then, which i doubt. i got arrangements to head back up to campus on thursday, instead of rushing sunday morning to get there. ill have to find something to do over the weekend.
not much going on here until thursday, will probably go in to get my license sometime before heading back. wont do me much good really, but it will be nice to have it. meh, not much interesting things going on here. eager to get back to friends and people and having things to do.

ew. what. this bottled water tastes like a pool. bleh,
i last said something....a few days before christmas. i honestly have no recollection of those days. most of them were the same thing over and over again. work, come home, do nothing much on my computer, and play video games mindlessly until 2 or 3 in the morning, when i would get bored and go to sleep. wash, rinse, repeat.
christmas day i worked as well, so the family woke up a bit earlier than usual, meaning 10 instead of noon to open stuff up. id say the best thing i got was a decent sized wad of money. other then that, most of the gifts were crappy, as usual. went into work and had fun with the FIVE NEW MOVIES THAT GOT RELEASED THE SAME DAY.
marley and me, curious case of benjamin button, bedtime stories, doubt, and valkryie.
the one with the cute puppy, and the other with adam sandler had sold out theatres the entire day, making it a joy for me and my usher compatriots to clean it all up.

after all that christmas nonsense, i took a few days off from work to have a break, and so i wouldnt have to work while sarah was here. cristin came over on friday, and will be staying here for a week, so at least that will give me and jared someone else to be bored with. went to the mall with jared, cristin, and jake saturday. managed to get out of the house a bit. spent some of my money on my pokeyman cards, im almost a pokemon master, but not yet. i also bought some nice jeans, because jake insists that everyone needs at least one good pair of jeans. now, since they are qualified as 'good' jeans, this also makes them expensive jeans. they were a lot less than i had expected, but still more than ive ever paid for pants.

most of saturday was spent cleaning up my room/house and more or less just waiting around until sarah got here. was a bit later than i would have hoped, but was still happy that she came. went out and saw bedtime stories, was an okay movie. probably shouldnt have paid 10 bucks for it when i couldve gotten in for free, but eh.

aaaand finally today got bagels early in the morning to beat the crowd rush. i had forgotten how toasty the huge globs of cream cheese taste on bagel bin bagels....also how insanely busy it is sunday mornings. spent the day at the mall....again....with everyone. people made some big purchases, i mainly spent a dollar playing ddr for the first time in....must be 6 months. didnt pass out or die like i thought i would.

now peoples left, and im bored again. start work up again, and for some reason theyve decided to change the opening time to 830 instead of the traditional time of 11....aaaaaaawesome. still have to think up new years plans, will probably be going to a friend of a friends party, play some arkham/android. looking forward to it. hope other peoples can attend maybe.

oh yea, possible short (read: long and drawn out) update tomorrow of all the fun (read: fucking annoying as hell) experiences ive had with my pc over the past week or so

a couple days ago me and jared went over to chris's place to hang out for the day. ending up going from his place, to his friends place, where we proceeded to watch all 6 hour-long episodes of jekyll in more or less one sitting. his friends are pretty funny and cool, may end up hanging out with them again at a new years party, i dunno
yesterday i started work back up again, i forgot how much fun standing up for 7 hours ripping tickets was. i also chomped down pretty hard on my tongue, which caused it to bleed...and i can still feel the cut in my tongue right now. makes eating a blast. after work, i had originally planned to take a train up to chapel hill to hang out with sarah a bit, but that ended up falling through :[ instead i came back home and slept...and more or less did nothing until 2ish in the morning, when i passed out. got my two 750gb drives in the mail today from woot, now if only i had some SATA cables to hook them up with. should be getting those in a day or two
today i returned to work for another 7 hours, running off of a 4 hour sleep session. long story short, falling asleep in theatres is fun. when i got back home, i noticed that there is now a 21 inch tv directly to my right....so now ill have to make even less of an effort to play wii and watch tv hoorah

soooooooo bored....
pops introduced the idea into my head that i should rent a 40something inch tv from a rent-a-center, so i would have a decent sized tv to play game stuffs on...sounds like an awesome idea, but i really dont want to spend the money on it. might research it a little bit more in the coming days. went out to the mall/s again with jake. gives us something to do. i start work back up on saturday, half looking forward to it, half not. on one side, it gives me something to do, and i sort of get to hang out with people i relatively enjoy being around. on the other side, i have to do work....dirty garbage-hoisting, minimum wage work. oh god horrors of trash bags bursting right when im trying to throw them, getting hot steamy trash juices all over my pants. speaking of hot steamy juices all over my pants, im going to go eat some cake

yesterday (or was it two days ago? ive lost track of time being back here), jared opened up his new boardgame from fantasyflight called Android. its advertised as a game of crime and conspiracy oOoOoOoOoOo. setting up the board for the first time took 30~ minutes, and after that we had a nice sit down where he read out the rules....it only took a mere 2 hours to explain the rules. after that, we finally started playing.....4 HOURS LATER WE ENDED UP LOSING. see, the minimum number of players that the game is designed for is 3, and seeing how it was just me and jared, we put a third character in there that both of us controlled mutually. the game focuses around backstabbing and trying to get ahead of the other players by having the most number of victory points at the end of the end. after all the final tallies were in, i had 42, jared had 47, and the freaking floater character had 68....
jared also keeps trying to push me to play agricola...he ended up playing by himself today and losing to a predetermined score he was supposed to hit. i think it looks like a fun game with all its pieces and whatnot, i just dont want to play a game about farming of all things. id prefer a more sophisticated game, like pokemon. and now that i mention, i think its due time for another rousing round of pokemon card game. me and jared established the rule that we would spent equivalent time playing one anothers games, so 6 hours of android = 6 hours of pokemon, woop!

so i was expecting to have to wake up around 930ish or so, so that i would have plenty of time to finish packing up my room, and finish tidying up the room so that i dont get bitched at by the community director when i come back. this was all in preparation so that id be ready to go at 11, which was when my dad said hed be swinging by. i was stirred from my slumber by none other than him, calling to tell me that he was on franklin, a mere 15 minutes away. mind you, this was a 8 in the morning. so i could already tell it was going to be a good start to the day.

i proceeded to rush through packing, and cleaning, and ordering up the room in a sleepy stupor, and managed to get everything in the care, and everything else in the room ready to go by 9ish. took off on the road, and it was more or less the usual car trip. boring. quiet. sleepy. about 45 minutes in, i also realized that i had left my iPod, headphones and all, in my desk drawer....so thats awesome. stopped at a sheetz which is, for those of you who dont know, a wicked awesome pit stop to make on car trips. they have these neat little touchpad menu thingies, and a huge supply of snack foods, drinks, and slushies. its pretty much the coolest a gas station can be.

got home around 1. fiddled around with unpacking, started on the two ginormous bags of laundry. crashed on my bed (it feels so soft and clean). sat through an awkward lunch/dinner with my grandparents. its not that i dont like them....its just that theyre so very old....came back, crashed some more. went out with jake to the mall, and saw  'the day the earth stood still'. was good, wouldnt have bothered to pay for it though. i dont really want to start work back up again, it sucks after working in a non-work intensive job. still in the midst of unpacking and putting everything away for the short while ill be here. got a new idea for gifts for her. ill have to go out and get them tomorrow. should be a fun time.

alright, so a couple of my friends at unc have livejournals, and im usually pretty bored and have nothing to do, so i thought 'why not make your own livejournal', so here i am. probably wont last very long, and even if it does, most people will look over this, but hey, it gives me something to do. uuuuuuuh, this is going to be the format of most posts, i dont bother with capitilization and grammar and puncuation and the like...its way too boring...anyway, here i go.

today was my last day of exams, introduction to asia. to make a long story short, im pretty sure i bombed it, seeing as how i knew none of the material. its not that the material was particularly hard to learn, its just that i didnt try at all to learn it. i read the documents....not really....but i tried to, they were just super boring, so i usually gave up on them after the first page or two. the exam was at 8am, and took a grand total of 30 minutes to do, so after taking it i went back to my place to sleep. woke up around 1ish, proceeded to sit around and wait for her to call so we could finish up some of our christmas shopping. ending up heading out around 3ish/4ish, hitting up the major christmas shopping hotspots, walmart, barnes and nobles, cherry pie, etc. cherry pie seemed like a pretty normal place for my first visit there, the cashier seemed really cool and normal for someone working in a porn shop. finally finished up all shopping whatnots, and went out to dinner. was nice. gave her my christmas gift to her. dont know if she was speechless because it was a good gift, or because she didnt really know how to react otherwise....hope its the former of the two. anywho, been mainly sitting around since, after finishing packing up all of my things to be transported tomorrow. leaving relatively early to when i usually wake up with nothing else going on....should be a nice long boring trip back...being stuck at my house for a month is going to suck...it wont be fun at all.
